Notifications and following
Decretum tells you about activity on the decisions you follow, in the app and by email. You choose what reaches your inbox.
What you follow
- Decisions you subscribe to. You're subscribed automatically to decisions you create. Use Subscribe on any other.
- Tags you subscribe to, on the Tags page: you hear about decisions that carry them.
- Groups: a group subscribed to a decision includes you.
You're also notified when someone @mentions you, or asks you to approve or acknowledge a decision.
In the app
The bell shows your notifications, with a count of unread ones. Unread only hides the rest; Mark all read clears the count. The list always shows everything, whatever your email settings.
Under Settings → Email preferences, choose which of these also send an email:
- a new decision matches a tag you subscribe to,
- any new decision is created, organization-wide,
- a subscribed decision changes status,
- you're @mentioned,
- a subscribed decision is due soon (3 days before and on the day), or overdue (every 7 days),
- new posts on subscribed decisions: immediately, as a daily digest, or not at all.
For a single decision you're subscribed to, Customize sets different email choices just for it.
On your own installation, email only works if your administrator has set it up.
