Pricing questions
Who actually counts toward the price?
Anyone who creates a decision, or holds the Approver or Admin role. Everyone else (reading, searching, subscribing, commenting, being mentioned) is free, on both Cloud and Self-Hosted, up to 20 readers per contributor seat. That covers any normal organization; see the next question for what happens past it.
What if we have far more readers than that?
Each contributor seat includes 20 free readers, and normal organizations run five to ten readers per contributor, so this rarely comes up. If you do go over, it's the same quiet admin notice as growing past your contributor seats: nothing breaks or gets blocked, and adding a contributor seat raises the limit.
Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?
Yes, for the Cloud Service, anytime from Settings. Self-Hosted licenses are annual only.
What happens if we grow past our licensed contributors on Self-Hosted?
Nothing breaks. Admins see a notice in the app, and you can add another pack of 10 contributors at your next renewal.
Does the Self-Hosted license need internet access to work?
No. The license file is verified locally against your own usage. Nothing about it phones home.
