Groups

Groups are named sets of people, such as "Finance" or "Safety committee", that you can use on a decision wherever you'd add a person. When someone joins or leaves a group, every decision using it follows automatically.

Creating groups (admins)

Admins manage groups under Groups: create one, name it, and add or remove members. Deleting a group asks you to type its name, since every decision using it loses it.

Using a group on a decision

The decision's owner, approvers and admins can add a group as:

  • Approvers: any member can approve or reject for the group. When all approvers must approve, one approval from each group is enough. See Approvals and dissent.
  • Collaborators on a restricted decision: every member can see it.
  • Acknowledgers: each member acknowledges for themselves, and the group shows how many have.
  • Subscribers: every member is notified about the decision, as if subscribed individually. Each can still adjust or turn off their own emails for it.
