Refund Policy
Last updated: [DATE]. This policy takes effect on that date and applies to every payment made from then on.
Draft, pending legal review
This is a first draft prepared for internal review, not a finalized or legally reviewed document. It should not be relied upon or treated as binding until reviewed and given a real effective date.
Decretum is sold to businesses and other organizations, not to consumers (see our Terms of Service). This policy describes when Sæle Digital refunds payments for the Decretum Cloud Service. Orders are processed by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for all Cloud Service orders and pays out every refund.
1. New subscriptions
If Decretum turns out not to be right for your organization, you can get a full refund of the first payment for a new Cloud Service subscription by asking within 14 days of that payment. This applies to the first subscription of each organization, monthly or annual.
2. Renewals and cancelling
Renewal payments are not refunded. You can cancel a subscription at any time; it then ends at the end of the period you have already paid for and is not renewed, and your organization keeps access until then.
3. Charges made in error
If you were charged by mistake, for example twice for the same period, we refund the incorrect charge in full, whenever you notice it.
4. Self-Hosted licenses
Self-Hosted licenses are sold by direct agreement rather than through Paddle. Refunds for them follow the terms of that agreement.
5. How to ask for a refund
Email support@decretum.app from an Admin account of your organization, with the organization's name and the date of the payment. You can also contact Paddle directly at paddle.net, where you can look up your order. Refunds go back to the payment method you paid with; how soon they appear depends on your bank or card issuer.
6. Your other rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights your organization has under mandatory law.
